Classes - The Beginning WCS Class each week is free with your paid admission to the WCS dance. The
Intermediate WCS Class each week is an additional $5.

Hello again dance friends!
Wednesday is still Country Night at the Steel Train Station in Roseville!
Autumn will be teaching "Continental Cowboy." It's a couples
dance that you can do without a partner. The lesson starts at 7:00 pm and goes until
7:45 pm.
DJ John will be providing music for your country dancing pleasure starting at 7:45 pm
on until around 10:30 when Karaoke will start! As always, there is no cover charge.
So, come and have some fun dancing!!!
Please continue to support country dancing at the Station. Pepe is back cooking in the
kitchen, so order something and enjoy it while you dance! Let’s continue to support
Country on Wednesdays!!

SEVEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY WITH STEVE LUCKY
AND THE RHUMBA BUMS!
More than 360 Fridays in a row have passed since we first opened our doors one chilly
January night in 2005 at the Sacramento YWCA. Over 150 people showed up to our
first dance (a huge amount at the time) and Sacramento’s swing dancing scene hasn’t
been the same since. Come celebrate with us at our seven year anniversary party on
January 27th, 2012 as Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums, featuring Miss Carmen Getit,
takes the stage for your dancing pleasure.
As this is a special night, we want to encourage everyone to dress up and look their
best for the occasion. Ladies break out your favorite dresses and guys slap on that suit
that is collecting dust in your closet. Hats are also highly encouraged.
Steve Lucky heads up the band and will thrill you with his boogie woogie piano skills.
The fabulous, not to mention beautiful, Miss Carmen Getit is a wild woman on the
guitar, slinging it like few others do. The bass and drums deliver crazy and driving
rhythms while two honkin' saxes will blow your mind with their power.
Steve, Carmen, and the gang always bring a beautiful mix of incredible talent and an
awesome stage show to make the evening great fun for everyone!

Friday is the night for swing dancing in Sacramento! Held in the beautiful Eastern Star
Ballroom (2719 K Street in Sacramento) which was built in 1929 you'll be transported
back in time to an era when Swing was king. Each week people of all ages and walks
of life dance the night away to best Swing, Jazz, and Blues music in Sacramento. You'll
even catch live music twice a month ($12 cover charge) featuring the bands from
around the world. Some of the musicians in the bands we bring in have played with
such legends as Keely Smith, Etta James, Chick Corea, John Lee Hooker Jr., Charles
Brown, and many more. Our DJ nights ($8 cover charge) feature a wide variety of
music that includes something for everyone. Song requests are always welcome, just
talk to our DJ!
You never need a partner because our dances are extremely social and you're sure to
make great friends at Midtown Stomp. The dance runs from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm and
there is a introductory lesson at 7:30 pm which is included in your cover charge. We
also offer "Group Swing Dance Classes" for those who want to take their dancing to
another level. Come out and join us every Friday night!
